- Curved blade slices thru dry hard ground with less effort than traditional square cutting edge,as only the middle section digs full depth.
- Very useful for digging and cleaning out trenches and forming furrows in the vege patch. Shovel type curved blade holds and lifts more dirt from pits / tree planting holes etc.
- Head is all Hi-Strength pre sharpened stainless steel,with nicely contoured Spotted Gum Handle, fitted with a metal wedge ,to allow retightening ,if timber shrinks in dry climates.

Over the years I’ve tried several garden hoes for the job of chipping weeds out of paddocks, typically unwanted grasses (eg Parramatta grass, Cetera grass, thistles, tobacco, devils fig etc), but not until using the “Gung Hoe” did I realise how much easier this chore could be. With no exaggeration, only about half the effort has been required in nearly half of the time, so a significant difference to help justify the higher cost.
The handle is very comfortable to hold, giving a precision aim of the tool, which has a scalping cutting action to destroy the roots of these weeds, often with a single swing.
This garden tool now has pride of place as one of my most essential tools for property maintenance.
